HELP - MY HEAT ISN'T WORKING!
There is very little you as a homeowner can safely do in case of failure in a gas system. Furnaces operate on 115v. and combined with the properties natural gas it is recommended that you contact a heating professional and not attempt repairs yourself.
Some things you can do are: Change the filter. A clogged filter can cause a furnace to overheat and shutdown. Make sure the return air vents are not blocked by furniture, toys or carpeting. Look for any loose ductwork and reattach with duct tape.
If the furnace seems to be firing but the fan does not run after a few minutes, shut the system down and contact a HEATCOOL dealer immediately. If the unit runs a few minutes and then shuts off prematurely you should contact someone as soon as possible.
