Updates for Carrier/Bryant Smart Thermostats

This article is only in reference to models: TSTATCCEWF-01 & TSTATBBEWF-01.

Are you selling, installing, serving or using the new Carrier or Bryant smart thermostat?

Carrier and Bryant have pushed a software update and you will need to do a factory reset on the thermostats.  The update should have taken place with no interruptions to the system and how it operates.

When you go out to see your existing customer with the smart thermostat go ahead and make it part of your maintenance routine and perform a factory reset.  Use the Carrier/Bryant service tech to reprogram the smart thermostat and recheck all the lockout factory defaults.

I personally use  the smart thermostat and I did not notice any problems when it updated, I did perform the (FR) factory rest and reconfigured the thermostat. All relevant update info can be found on HVACPartners. Follow the reset instructions provided for a seamless update. You can see detailed scenarios below that offer update guidance.
