Have you ever installed a mini-split and after commissioning, the wall control is showing the temperature in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit?
To change Celsius (C) on the thermostat to Fahrenheit (F) you must do the following.
1) Push the up & down buttons simultaneously on the wall control. If it doesn’t work, push up & down together on the remote while pointed at wall control.
2) If first step doesn’t work, point the remote at the indoor display and press the up & down arrow at the same time.
3) If the second step doesn’t work, remove the wall control from the wall and unplug it. Then, press the up & down buttons simultaneously on remote while pointing at indoor display. Plug the wall control back in and it will change C to F.
In short, following the steps listed above will allow the temperature reading to switch between C and F. This is not listed in the owners manual. The owners manual is where you will normally find the advanced menu settings. (Not the Install Manual) 70 degrees F = 21 degrees C if you find that you are still having issues and need to set a temperature for your customer.
